Making it Even Easier.....

In an effort to cut the number of application submissions needed to get one that is correct I have decided to try something a bit different: I will verify your coordinates and calculate your Base Ground Elevation (BGE) and Height Above Average Terrain (HAAT).
First, use ONLY Google Earth, Google Maps (Web Page) or Yahoo Maps (Web Page) to accurately determine the coordinates of your repeater's transmit antenna. By far, Yahoo Maps (http://maps.yahoo.com) is the easiest, taking only 2 (OK, 3 if you are picky...) steps after you find the antenna.
1) Find your antenna. Zoom in as far as you can and "slide" the image to place your antenna DIRECTLY under the little "+" in the middle of the screen.
2) While zoomed ALL the way in, place your mouse cursor DIRECTLY over your antenna and the "+" and click the RIGHT mouse button. You'll see a small menu pop up; select the "Drive From Here" menu item.
3) You should see coordinates that look like: 40.510472,-74.85913 in the Get Map and Directions "A" box. Those are the coordinated for the place you clicked. Copy them.

Next I need to know how high up the tower your antenna is mounted; the Antenna Height Above Ground (AGL) value. Figure out the measurement you would get, in feet - don't need inches - if you dropped a tape measure from the MIDDLE of your antenna to the ground at the base of the tower.
PLEASE don't try and cheat by looking at any "data" - go out and LOOK for yourself!

Compose an E-Mail message to me: wb1got@arcc-inc.org
Make the subject: ARCC Pre Application Calculations for (repeater callsign)
Paste the coordinates and the AGL value into the body and send it!

Wait at LEAST 2 weeks for a reply as I presently have only 4 to 6 hours a week to dedicate to ARCC stuff.

I'll perform the calculations and send the results back to you.
How's that?

Oh! I might mention, this offer is valid ONLY for ARCC coordinated repeaters. I don't need to be doing calculations for folks in Denver!
